21st Century Designs began in 1995 when a friend asked us to build a web site for him. Back then, the world wide web was just getting started and anything passed for a web site. In fact, when we began, there were less than 20,000 web sites on the entire internet, and all of them consisted of just text.
It wasn't long, however, before web sites began to show a little more sophistication. Instead of "anything goes as long as it's up there", we began actually DESIGNING sites. We began adding pictures, graphics, and navigation. Sites became more presentable as customers became more interested in the appeal of a site as well as its message. The more sites we designed, the more sophisticated they became.
When major companies began using the internet, a lot of designers sought them out. It quickly became apparent to us that the mom and pop operations, the entrepreneurs, the small business owners, needed someone who specialized in their needs, and we began concentrating on that niche almost exclusively.
Today, fifteen years after we began, we still concentrate on that niche, because it gives the "little guy" an even playing field against the "big guys".
We don't use cookie cutter methods. We don't rely on templates. Every site is built from scratch, using the latest design languages and technology. Our mission is to give every site a personality. We strive to reflect what the site owner wants to convey in easy to read copy, great graphics, and easy navigation.
From the very beginning, our goal has been to make every site unique-to make it stand out from all the rest!
